An Interview With Borderline Natives | UDS Interviews

Borderline Natives - Best Intentions (Official Audio)

Check out our interview with Nashville’s pop punk upstarts – Borderline Natives!

For the unfortunate few who don’t know who you are, would you mind introducing yourselves?

Borderline Natives: We Are Borderline Natives a pop-punk band From Nashville,Tennessee.

In the effort of getting to know each other better – if you could be a sandwich, what sandwich would you be?

Bobby: Peanut butter and jelly with potato chips in the middle.

Kevin: Turkey With Skittles on White Bread.

Tell us about your latest release…

Borderline Natives: Well, we are putting out our debut album, An Endless Struggle For The Proper State of Mind there are two singles out currently, Best Intentions & Real Ones.

Have you had much chance to tour recently?

Borderline Natives: We are looking forward to being able to get on the road again in 2021 so hopefully we end up in the UK.

Have you got any crazy tour stories you can share with the world?

Bobby: Nothing too outlandish, yet… I’m sure they’re coming. I’ve really just had a lot of “too close for comfort” conversations with people, and for some reason it’s always the people who want to talk right in your face that tend to have the worst breath.

Here at Upside Down Shark we discuss a wide breadth of pop-culture, including music, movies, TV, video games and the like. So with that in mind, if you could have a track featured in anything, whether it be any of the above on even a wrestling theme, what would it be?

Bobby: My all-time guilty pleasure is Halo. If we could somehow end up in a Halo game, I’d lose it.

Kevin: I do love movie soundtracks, so if we ended up in a coming of age movie about a DJ trying to make in L.A., or one about a kid who is under house arrest and finds out his neighbor is a murder that would be great!

Name one thing on your band bucket list

Kevin: Playing any festival Bonnaroo or Reading to name a few! more specifically to just tour for a while.

Bobby: I’m from Colorado, so it HAS to be playing Red Rocks Amphitheater!

What would be your inspirational quote to share with the world?

Borderline Natives: Something like “the best way to get where you want, is to stay who you are.”

What does 2020 have in store for you?

Borderline Natives: Putting out our album and getting prepped for touring in 2021.

What’s your favourite shark?

Kevin: Tiger Shark for sure.

Bobby: Whale Shark. If I can only have one, that’s my pick. They are friggin majestic and awe-inspiring. Someday I’ll swim with one, and I’m absolutely going cage diving with Great Whites whenever I get the chance. If you can’t tell, I grew up wanting to be a Marine Biologist. I “settled” for musician!
