UDS (Upside Down Shark) is a collective of creative folk based in South East UK, with an ethos of championing local and DIY talent. If it’s cool, rad and/or funky fresh, we’ll talk about it, review it or interview it.

We run two weekly podcasts – UDS Radio, covering the week’s latest pop culture events, and Simpsons Showdown, pitting every episode of The Simpsons against one another in order to determine which episode is the true number one.

TOM BAKER (@UDSRadio)

Our resident Star Wars fanatic, Tom co-founded UDS back in 2017 over waffles and coffee. What started as an excuse to reconnect with old friends has blossomed into a multimedia operation with his closest and most creative confidants. But however big UDS gets, the original spirit will always remain – have fun and celebrate DIY talent.

You can hear Tom fumble over his words as co-host of UDS Radio and Simpsons Showdown, watch him interview famous folk on YouTube and enjoy his written ramblings.

Matt Dobbie, or Dobbie as he is almost unanimously known, is a man with a critical-yet-open mind and a deep passion for the things he loves most. Whether it’s a band, a TV show, a movie or a video game, if he likes it then there are no half-measures when it comes to learning about it and spouting that useless trivia whenever it seems pertinent. In his free time, you’ll usually find him listening to either music or podcasts whilst engrossed in a game to which he has devoted far more time than he’s proud to admit to. Alternatively, he may be losing his voice at yet another Frank Turner show…
