It’s been nearly 10 years since we’ve had a proper single player Star Wars video game. In that time Disney have bought Lucasart, we’ve experienced soon to be 5 new movies as well as countless novels, comic books and content building on a brand new canon. Also a couple of Battlefront games, I guess, but let’s try to ignore them.
But fret not, dear force users, as the wait is over - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is here!
It’s finally here. After years of hype, speculation, cameo trailers, delays and peeing, Death Stranding is out in the wild.
Many have been on tenterhooks for the promise of Hideo Kojima’s magnum opus, a game that strived to be as much a work of art as a product, and featuring an all star cast including Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen and Lindsay Wagner. But with all this pretence and posturing, is it actually an enjoyable game? Watch on, to find out.
As you can imagine, when Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled was announced at the tailend of last year, I was bouncing around Ripper Roo style. A complete rebuild of the game I’ve been playing on and off for 20 years with updated textures and graphics, an expanded roster of characters and more customisation options than ever. What’s not to love?
But now that the final product is out in the wild, would it live up to the gargantuan level of hype, or would it careen off a cliff into the proverbial chasm of failure screaming ‘Woah’? Read on to find out.
